Adding a Product to Inventory Management

Creating an Inventory Product

In order for a product to be tracked in inventory, it must be designated as an inventory product.

1. Go to Products → New Product

2. Fill in at least:

   • Product name

   • Product category

   • Product code (recommended)

3. Enable:

   • Sales product

   • Inventory product

Units and Prices

Specify for the product:

• purchase unit

• inventory unit

• sales unit

• purchase price and sales price

Correct unit definitions are especially important when using recipe products.

NOTE: If you want to automatically add all products as inventory products when creating a new product, you can select this option in the Vektori POS cloud service under Settings → Product Management in the General → activate Inventory Tracking → Update. After this, all new products will be added to inventory management.
