Task Management Settings
What it is about
This page manages the general settings of Vektor's task management. You can define which additional fields or features are displayed on tasks so that task recording and tracking best support your company's working methods.
Getting started
- Go to Settings in the main menu on the left-hand side.
- Select Task Management from the settings menu.
- Click General (General task settings) in the view to open the settings form.
What you can do on this page
1. General task settings
Here you can select which fields are active and available when you create and edit tasks.
- Fields / Tasks: Use the checkboxes to select the features you want to enable on tasks:
- Category: Enable if you want to classify tasks into different groups or types.
- Priority: Enable if you want to be able to prioritise tasks (e.g., low, normal, urgent).
- Status: Enable so you can track the progress and work stages of tasks using status information (e.g., not started, in progress, completed).
- Saving: After you have made your selections, always remember to click the blue Update button to save your changes.
Tips and notes
- Keep it simple: Enable only the fields that your team really needs and uses in their daily work. Extra mandatory or optional fields can unnecessarily slow down and complicate the recording of new tasks.
- Settings can be changed later: If you later find that task tracking or reporting requires more detailed classification, you can return to these settings at any time and activate, for example, the "Category" field.
