Variable-weight products (e.g. meat, fruit) use barcodes that include the weight. The Vektori point of sale system interprets the weight and calculates the price at the till if you have a scale that prints a barcode label.
The GTIN standard ensures compatibility with scanners.
In order for the Vektori till to accept a GTIN standard barcode, you must first enter the product's EAN code field with the full EAN code, for example by printing from a scale with zero weight, after which the till processes adding the product to the shopping basket.
For a variable-price barcode, the initial part according to the GTIN standard is a fixed EAN code (EAN codes are issued by GS1 Finland) and the latter part, according to the GTIN standard, relates to the price or weight in the EAN code, with the prices appearing in the shopping basket.
